For Chris, good design is the result of curiosity, careful listening and asking far too many questions. He is driven to fully understand the needs, aspirations and frustrations of clients and end users in order to create spaces where people truly want to be. After 16 years of design and project leadership experience, he is an expert in bringing a client’s brand to life through the built environment.
Chris is committed to designing spaces that make connections between the inside and the outside, promote engagement between people, soften our environmental footprint and evoke emotion and inspiration through the incorporation of art into the everyday.

Tom brings over four decades of design and construction knowledge to his projects.
He also brings a distinct humanity to all of his work. He is well known as a design leader and consensus builder. His expertise in large infrastructure projects is complimented by his work in small-scale, community-centric initiatives. At Ratio, Tom works hard at building trusting, long-standing relationships with our clients, many of whom have been with us for decades.
Throughout his 40-year career, Tom has devoted himself to preserving British Columbia’s architectural heritage.
In May of 2014, Thomas S. Annandale was inducted into the prestigious College of Fellows at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC). Fellowship is bestowed upon members by their peers as recognition of the recipient’s pursuit of excellence and personal contributions to the profession of architecture.
